Community Involvement

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the World; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

Letter from Ladaria Smith, Founder/CEO ~~  Because I Said So, Inc (BISS)

First I would like to extend my thanks to The Steppers Workshop Georgia for volunteering their services to our organization. As you will see in the video it was a great time. Mrs. Mary and staff were so professional and patient with the teens, it brought joy to my heart. This session has been in the works for a couple of years and it was nice to see it come together. For those in attendance thank you so much for your support. I hope you learned something and keep practicing. Enjoy......

fooddriveTSWGA is a place of learning; we have integrated the ideals of Community Service into our curriculum. Because Community Service embodies experiential learning, locating a moral center, because it is about empowerment and making the world a better place, because these issues are at the core of being, we need to do it. TSWGA's desire to act comes from a pride, caring, and respect for our Steppin Community, and beyond.

Thanksgiving 2007, TSWGA "Adopted A Family" We Collected Two Large Baskets of nonperishable food items, 2 turkeys and a ham. The donation was presented to our - A 53 year old mother of an 18 yrs old son in high school. She's also caring for 2 grandchildren ages 10 and 13 that were abandoned by their mother (her daughter). She is a full time student and she works part-time at a neighborhood Daycare for $6.00 per hour.
